  • Taking apart a Panasonic Lumix DMC- ZS3 / TZ7 Superzoom Digital Camera
    The Panasonic ZS3 is a great little superzoom camera. I had alot of fun shooting with the 12x zoom especially taking up close and personal shots. It took pretty good pictures and the 720p HD videos are awesome from this camera. The ZS3 is a great all around camera perfect for traveling which is what I took to the beautiful private island Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. It was there in the Bahamas where I founded out the hard way that the Panasonic ZS3 is not a good swimmer in the crystal clear aqua blue water. My little superzoomer accidentally fell into the water and drowned at the beach. Fortunately I had a backup camera (Casio z750) for the rest of my vacation. When I got back home, I gave Panasonic tech support a call. They basically told me that it was not worth fixing and the parts and labour would cost more than what the camera was worth brand new. Since I can't repair it, I might as well take it apart. Here are some internal shots of the ZS3 digital camera.

    A Russian woman married a Canadian gentleman and they lived happily ver after in Toronto . The poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband. The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries. One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs. She didn't know how to put forward her request, so, in desperation, clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message and gave her the chicken legs. Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts. The butcher understood again and gave her some chicken breasts. On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed to buy sausages. Unable to find a way to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store...     A young man wished to buy a pair of gloves for his sweetheart's Birthday, so he went to an expensive boutique, bought the Finest gloves available and asked the saleswoman to have them delivered with a note. While wrapping the gloves, a clerk accidentally mixed up the order and sent a pair of panties instead. Here is the note the young man sent to his sweetheart: Darling, I chose these, because I noticed that you are not in the habit Of wearing any when we go out in the evening. I would have chosen long ones with buttons, but because your sister wears the short ones that are so easy to remove, I decided to get the same style for you. Although these are a delicate shade, the lady I bought them from showed me a pair she had been wearing for three weeks and they were hardly soiled. I had the sales girl try them on for me and they looked really smart. I wish I could be there to put them on for you for the first time. No doubt many other hands will touch them before I See you again. When you take them off, remember to blow in them before putting them away as they will naturally be a little damp from wearing. Be sure to keep them on while cleaning them so they don't shrink. Just think how many times I will kiss them during the coming year. I hope you like them and will wear them for me on Friday night.   • The H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) and Hand Dryers in the restrooms
    Everyone in the cleaning industry has always been told that hand dryers in restrooms are not sanitary, they spread germs and bacteria around. I always thought that this just came from the paper companies because they are loosing sales to the hand dryers. A couple of years ago, I was working with a rep, and I noticed that after he washed his hands and noticed that there were no paper towels, only a hand dryer he left the restroom with wet hands. I asked him about it. He said that hand dryers blow a lot of germs and bacteria around. He also told me to take a look under the hand dryer next time I was in a rest-room. There is a filter underneath the hand dryer that is supposed to be cleaned on a weekly basis. I looked at one and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. It had layers and layers of caked on gunk (disgusting). Since then I will not use hand dryers in rest-rooms. Now this is where the story gets really interesting. The schools and universities that have had the H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) outbreak this year are being told by the health department that they have to take out all of their hand dryers and replace them with towel dispensers because the hand dryers are spreading disease. Please pass this along so everyone knows not to use hand dryers.
